Storm clean-up made easier and safer with Vermeer NDD equipment

Storm season is upon us, and that can mean big clean ups in impacted regions. Vermeer Australia has the equipment councils and contractors need to help move debris, clean out drains and ensure communities are kept safe and accessible after a storm hits. Let’s look at a couple of these versatile units.

Vermeer Vacuum Excavators: perfect for storm clean-up

Vermeer’s vacuum excavators are a valuable tool for storm clean up. They can be used to remove mud and debris from drains and clear stormwater pits where non-destructive drilling is required.

Vacuum excavators range from 24 hp to 99 hp, with units ranging between 400 and 11,000 litre spoil tank capacity and the cubic metres per minute to match. You can learn more about the range here.

Utility Locators: When it’s time to re-build, know where to start

Utility locators are typically an integral part of utility installation, both to check for the presence of existing assets and to track the path of a directional drill during installation.

Vermeer’s utility locators are the perfect partner to vacuum excavators, and help to locate any pipes, cables or other underground utilities that may be difficult to find when there is movement in the soil or ground infrastructure due to a storm;  although as-built plans are often just a rough guide as to the location of an underground asset, it’s always good practice to use a locator in conjunction with a service like Before You Dig

Vermeer’s utility locators come with a three-year warranty including water damage, are Before You Dig certified, and have an industry leading three-way antenna that is direct rubber injected, meaning there is no need for yearly inspections. Read more about our range of utility locators here.
