Efficient Operation

The SC402 is equipped with a 40-hp (29.8-kW) Briggs & Stratton® Vanguard® engine with high torque output to help operators grind more stumps in less time and tackle more jobs each day.

With standard four-wheel drive, the SC402 was built to help prevent ground disturbance and minimize slipping – getting operators to the stump and back efficiently.

The SmartSweep™ control system monitors engine load while providing continuous feedback, resulting in a smooth and consistent cutter wheel sweep rate that helps improve efficiency and minimizes wear.

Jobsite Flexibility

With options of either the Vermeer cutting system (VCS) or Yellow Jacket™ cutter system, operators can select the cutter wheel that is best suited to their operation and ground conditions.

Without the dual wheels installed, the SC402 is only 35.5 in (90.2 cm) wide, allowing it to enter narrow backyard gates and access tight jobsites.

An optional backfill blade helps reduce the time and labor needed for chip clean up.

Operator Safety
